Our client is a food & beverage ingredients supplier and solutions provider with a global footprint, looking to hire a Technical Sales Manager based in Singapore.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for all commercial activities comprising direct sales and distributor management to grow our market share in the region, as well as be the key account manager for several global accounts.  To do so, you will conduct thorough market analysis, gather customer information, partner with customers to generate new product ideas and develop joint strategies, and contribute to the annual Sales & Marketing Plan. You will also be liaising with other departments related to the production, pricing, sales, and/or distribution of your products when necessary.

Requirements

You would need to have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Technology, or a related field, with at least 5 years of working experience in the food industry. Prior sales experience and familiarity with Incoterms would be advantageous. Candidates without prior B2B sales experience but have strong commercial acumen will also be considered for this role. To be successful, you are a team player, possess excellent organisational and presentation skills and self-motivated. Since this is a regional role, you should also be willing to travel when required.
