This is a rapidly growing oil trading multinational with a global footprint, with Singapore serving as its key Asia Pacific trading centre. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trade Accountant to support a high performing oil trading team.

This role arises due to internal mobility in the company.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Trade Accountant is responsible for performing month-end closing and performing the PNL variance analysis for the oil products. He/ She will be responsible for the P&L for the product lines, and ensure the ins and outs of trading transactions, including ensuring timely payments and receipts required.

He / She will deliver financial and management reporting packs in an accurate and timely manner, and assess the valuations of financial instruments and inventory.

The Accountant will also participate in special projects to improve processes and systems workflow.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a degree in a finance discipline. Ideally, you will have worked around 3-5 years in accounting and finance in commodities trading companies, either in energy or non-energy commodities experience.
