    Description

    Our client is a leading Human Nutrition and Health business, and am currently hiring for a newly created role at Vice President level to be responsible for the development of their business across APAC within Food category (alternative proteins, texturants, flavors in savory and Sweet Goods & Diary). This position can be based in China or Singapore.

    Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Global Head of their Food category with a dotted line to the APAC Head of Nutrition, this position will work across product technology platforms and with their Food sales organization to ensure success in the segments across the region by delivering revenue and gross margin objectives. Upon a thorough analysis of the market needs and challenges, consumer trends and competitors landscape, you will define a regional commercial strategy including customer segmentation, channel identification and cross-selling opportunities across the full portfolio of their ingredients. The position defines the needs of the Food market segment and collaborate with the technology and product platform to develop and enhance the product offering as well as short and medium term commercial plans to expand the customer portfolio. You will define the relevant application supports to meet the customer demands and execute by collaborating with their application interface and leveraging the regional application structures, as well as aligning go-to-market activities in the region and coordinate with marketing.

    Requirements

    You should have a Bachelor Degree, with a preference toward candidates who have a PhD / Master / MBA. A minimum of 10 years successful experience in marketing, sales, product management in value added Food ingredients industry or adjacent business will be required, along with previous leadership experience in market development, introduction and commercialization of new products, and project management. You should come with experienced team leadership, talent development and recruitment in the commercial /technical sales area, with demonstrated ability to collaborate across matrix organization and preferably at regional level. Key performance metrics include: Revenue , Gross Margin (GM), and Operational Profit (OP).
