A Major Financial Institution is hiring a senior credit risk professional who will partner the business to review and approve credit proposals relating to global corporate banking transactions. This is a newly created headcount, supporting business growth in this region.

Responsibilities

A business approval role, you will partner the business in structuring transactions, reviewing and approving credit proposals. You will regularly conduct portfolio analysis, ensuring strong oversight of credit risk exposure at portfolio level. You will provide insightful portfolio reports for key business partners, highlighting areas of concerns and potential business opportunities. You will represent the department on divisional and cross functional projects relating to various aspects of risk including credit risk, credit process improvements, risk framework and BASEL requirements. You will collaborate with Group Risk Management on credit policies and framework, in support of the corporate banking business.

Requirements

You have a Business/Finance or related degree from a recognised University. You possess at least 15 years of credit risk experience including credit approval experience for large transactions in corporate banking. You have strong skills in credit risk evaluation, structuring and risk management and are particularly well versed with the corporate banking business. You have strong knowledge of risk management principles, regulatory guidelines and a good track record approving large transactions. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build relationships with internal stakeholders and senior management. You are highly credible and are able to provide guidance, awareness and recommendations to the business heads on risk strategy and execution.
