    Description

    We are pleased to be partnering exclusively with a reputable global bank who has made a name for itself as one of the largest in North America by market capitalization. With almost 2 centuries of heritage behind them, our client frequently makes the list of top banks for its wealth management and corporate banking services.

    They are currently seeking a VP, HR Shared Services (APAC) as part of their efforts to streamline business processes across the Asia region. This is a newly-created position that will see the successful incumbent leading a team of 3-4 direct reports in Singapore.

    Role

    Our client has started on an large-scale regional transformation project which will eventually witness Singapore re-positioned as a central hub in Asia for all corporate services and middle-office operations. The successful candidate will therefore play a pivotal role in restructuring HR processes and re-defining HR efficiencies. Leading a team of 3 HR specialists, you will oversee the digitalizing of current processes whilst ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day HR operations across the bank from on/off-boarding, benefits administration, global contract transfers, and payroll. You will also leverage cross-functional partnerships with the bank’s Legal, Compliance, and Governance teams to enhance process controls in mitigating HR risks and ensuring adherence to MAS and MOM regulations. This unique role will truly amalgamate your depth of experience – across strategic decision making; passion for process enhancement; interest in technology adoption; and a knack for HR workflow optimization.

    Requirements

    The successful candidate should possess at least 8 years of progressive HR experience gained at a global bank or established financial institution. You must be highly proficient in HR Operations and possess an equally adept eye for process optimization and/or improvement. A thorough understanding of local labour regulations is also necessary. As you will be managing a team of direct reports, prior experience in team management is advantageous though not necessary.
